PostSubject: Re: Things that should not be...   Things that should not be... EmptySat Sep 07, 2013 7:01 am

I have had a night to sleep on this, and now I say fuck it... why not?! In fact, this opens up all new possibilities for a future of Dr Quinn frontiersy style rental and bartering! "Well Mrs Collins, howdy ma'am! What brings you into town today?" "Good morgen Sam. Last night Jim and the boys found a vein of copper in the hills and we'd like to rent some mining equipment and some supplies to build a temporary outhouse. Maybe for a few weeks, and we don't want no late fees." "No problem Mrs C! As you know all of our outhouse timber gets the bleach and lye so's our payin' customers don't get the dysentery. "

Yeah. In fact, when my brain rolls "pleygo" off its mind-tongue, two ideas pop right in there for more "Things that should not be" but could happen since pleygo's inception. They are:

Pleydoh! Like Netflix for play-doh!

PlayDo! Like Netflix for adult toys! (Yeah, play that one out in your head for a bit and see if you don't cringe and chuckle at the same time!)

C'Mon we're on a roll now! Lets think up some more!

Another things that should not be, and this has been discussed a bit since I discovered the story. Iowa has been in the news for allowing legally blind people to purchase AND CARRY firearms. They aren't sure how many gun licenses have been given to blind people because they don't keep special record of the buyer being blind or not.

I realize my saying this "should not be" is entirely opinion, and this borders on a political debate. BUT, though I'm not big on guns, I keep an open mind and can see where both sides of the gun control debate are coming from. I also agree that it's in our constitution, and that we also shouldn't discriminate against a person based on disability... BUT C'MON!!!

Okay, okay. I can see that a blind person might want to protect their home, and the thinking is we should have guns because the criminals have them. Fine. BUT... how is the blind person going to know where to shoot in the event of a break-in?! I'm not trying to pick on blind people, because I realize that blindness must just suck all levels of suckitude... so I think I'm just picking on people with little or no common sense. How could a person who is unable to see think it's a good idea to carry around a handgun in the event they get mugged or something?! Seriously, what the hell would they aim at?!

Vader made the point, constitution and rights regardless, that some gun safety training (was it military or just some gun training manual???) thing had a rule three involving know your target and SEE yours and the target's surroundings. Um... DUH?!

Did Luke use his eyes when he destroyed the Death Star?  No!

And besides, as long as the shooters roll a die 20 against their blind fighting skill, who are we to argue?

lol! I was just thinking of watching it again! It's just that disturbing! It's the kind of thing you make someone watch and say "yeah, I watch Japanese cartoons, and THIS is NOT the same..."

On a side note, I looked up the furry subculture, hoping to prove to naysayers that this is a real and 'powerful' thing. Found a SIX PAGE article from vanity fair from 2001! Here's the article in case anyone cares: article

But I will give you some tidbits that even I didn't know. Example, did you know most "real furrys" have always know deep down inside they were some kind of animal? That they had to hide most of their lives because people wouldn't understand? That once they hit the internet and found each other, it made it all better being an animal on the inside? WOW... such... um... anyway, here's a quote from the article... from page 2...

But it wasn’t so liberating, having these intense feelings, when you thought you were the only person on earth who had them. The second big revelation for most furries came when they got on the Internet. Not only were there others like them, they learned, but they were organized! They started having conventions in the early 90s. Now, such gatherings as the Further Confusion convention in San Jose, California, and Anthrocon in Philadelphia, attract more than 1,000 furry hobbyists apiece. (The Midwest FurFest is a smaller “con,” with about 400 attending.) There are other conventions, too—even summer camps.

The furry group has its own customs and language. “Yiff” means sex, “yiffy” means horny or sexual, and “yiffing” means mating. “Fur pile” denotes a bunch of furries lying on top of one another, affectionately, while skritching.* “Spooge” is semen—a possible outcome of a fur pile. A “furvert” is anyone who is sexually attracted to mascots and such.

Many furries have jobs related to science and computers. They role-play on a Web site called “FurryMUCK,” a chat-room kingdom where users pretend they’re red-tailed hawks, foxes, and polar bears.

A high number of furries are bearded and wear glasses. Many resemble the animal they identify with (especially wolves and foxes, the most popular “totems”). Some have googly, glazed, innocent eyes. A few are crazy-eyed.

*Should point out, I learned on page 1 that "skritching" is scratching each others backs in an animal grooming fashion. Another quote to help the confusion:
At 7:30 p.m., near the front desk, three men known as Pack Rat, Rob Fox, and Zen Wolph are scratching one another’s backs—grooming one another, like macaques in a zoo. “Skritching,” they call it. I am tempted to turn around and run. Instead I find myself talking with Keith Dickinson, a self-described “computer geek.” Not long ago, this man, a 37-year-old from Kansas City, Kansas, was so depressed he could barely bring himself to go to the grocery store. And then it hit him. He started to believe that, somewhere deep down, he was actually … a polar bear.

“In normal society,” Dickinson says, “two people who hardly know each other do not walk up and scratch each other’s backs. But when you’re one of the furs, it’s one big extended family.”

Things that should not be... Empty
PostSubject: Re: Things that should not be...   Things that should not be... EmptyMon Nov 03, 2014 1:11 pm

*ponders*

Okay, this post of mine would normally upset a lot of people... but luckily, there aren't a lot of people here.  Smile

On one hand, the good hand:  I can understand how people, deep down, believe themselves, or feel as if, they are of a particular animal.  It could be a spiritual thing, a belief, a connection to a totem or animal spirit.  A lot of naturalistic traditions hold that belief.  Perhaps, in some way, the people that recognize within themselves an animal are merely those that would have been revered centuries ago, that they are those who technology, society, and time have passed by.  I can see that, I can relate to that.  It's no different than, say, any other subculture out there, or any other closely held belief.  Hell, if I could, I'd be walking about dressed as a goth samurai... hey, now that's an idea...  Anyway, that's the good point, that I can see this and understand people wanting to express how they feel inside, and how they see themselves.  On the other hand...

The other hand, the bad hand:  If you are born with a penis, you are a male, and as such you must use the men's bathroom.  Born with a vagina, you are a woman, a female.  If you are born with a penis, but deep down you believe you are a woman, guess what?  You are a male, up until the time where you have your sexual organs removed, and as such, need to continue using the men's room, no matter how you dress or paint yourself.  Same thing goes with furries.  If you were born as a human, guess what... you're a human.  There is no "I'm a polar bear" if you came from a human female's vagina, placed there by a male's penis (or syringe).  Actually believing you are an animal, taking steps and measures to make yourself appear as such, including body modifications, elective surgery, and the partaking of specific mannerisms, is a case for mental instability and should be grounds for commitment.  **And yes, I believe this to be the case even for pans trans tri asexuals.  I should not have to be forced to respect your wishes to be considered a female if you have a penis.  I will not stand by and allow a guy who says 'today I am a woman' and then be allowed to use a girl's bathroom.**

The neutral hand:  Sex.  Anyone ever just let go during a sexual encounter?  Where you let go of human nature and just relish in bestial tendencies?  Err, not bestial as in "wow, I really like your dog", but just letting go?  Nipping, biting, scratching, clawing, of being caught up in the moment and just letting go?  Anyone?  Umm, okay... well, umm, anyway...  I can see furries acting out like this as well, as a fetish, as a focus so they can get in that mindset.  Just like a dominatrix isn't always about ball busting and alligator clips, it's only when you are in costume are you able to present yourself as such.  I can see and understand that as well.

So there, two out of three times a furry isn't bad.  Or something.  I don't know.  And now, some images!

Okay... still in the realms of things that should not be... I question your classification system! Not to be argumentative, but to see how far down this rabbit hole goes. See what I did there? Furrys? Deep rabbit hole?

So, a dude is a dude and a lady is a lady... unless and until they get a parts switcheroo... or at least start the process. SOOO... if you're a dude, and your dick suffers a horrible car door accident, can you then use the womens' bathroom? Keep in mind, many people who lose their genitals get morbidly depressed, which could lead to the mental instability where the feeling of need might arise to... you know, like "my dick is gone, I can't face going into the mens' bathroom anymore!"

AND... indirect quote "if you come from a woman's vagina" by way of injection or penis (which is injection also, I guess...)... But what if, through the miracle of science, you are one of those petri dish kids, fertilized outside of a womb, then injected and carried to term in such a way that you are birthed from a... hmmm... a rhinocerous vagina? Or a Grizzly vagina? How does that affect the furry concept? Or even the male/female concept?! Wtf... that's just a damn odd line of questioning! Answer away, goth ninja furry!

PostSubject: Re: Things that should not be...   Things that should not be... EmptyMon Nov 03, 2014 1:59 pm

I think the real question should be, if you believe yourself to be an actual animal, wouldn't that then mean that, if you had to use the bathroom, you have to go outside?

I'd imagine that if your penis was gone, forced away by some unforeseen accident or vengeful significant other (or perhaps insignificant, all things considered), you may in fact want to stay away from the urinal. But that's just my opinion.

And yeah, okay, I concede the whole birthed from a vagina point to you. I hadn't considered artificial or surrogate wombs, whether bionic or technological (or, for that matter, C-Sections or cloning). So then, for a sake of clarification, I should change my stance to limit a human classification to those who were conceived (either intellectually or biologically) with a human female egg. Just the egg. That covers natural impregnation, artificial insemination, and cloning. That also covers any type of conceived notion of utilizing some animal DNA sperm that was genetically modified to be accepted by the egg.

Ahh! What about genetically altered human DNA, so that the embryo (and subsequently the human offspring) carries with it animalistic traits? Would that not, in fact, make a human furry? Yes, yes it would. But that's when talk about genetically crafted slave races comes up, or more of a sci-fi theme, and totally derails the furry movement. But what id a genetically created human furry (through DNA restructuring) way deep down believes or feels that he is actually a... a... a plant? Could a human furry be a plant?

This has made the rounds already, but is definitely a thing that should not be. I think so anyway. In fact, I'll place it here as a time capsule and see if they're still around in 2 years! I give you the new netflix-style rentals for really fucking expensive watches!

Took a bit of time finding this thread. Thought it would have been in the subculture category, mainly because of the furries. Anywho, as an addition to the furries, I've got for you a real live platyman. Mantypus? I don't know. Just some kid who says he's a platypus now, even going so far as to look just like one.

He looks like one, alright. Up until you actually look at his photos and question just what exactly he thinks a platypus looks like.

Sooth, if you want to start a subculture furry thread, you are more than welcome to do so! We are a collection of thinkers, not bigots who will mock and laugh at any who are different. It was just my personal opinion that the animated video of cartoon furries 'should not be', and some of the furry convention antics I also believe push the bounds of should not be... HOWEVER, if you would like to share revelations or personal anecdotes about furries as a subculture, I'm sure we would all appreciate reading your outlooks!

Now then, on point. If that thing (again, my opinion, not the opinion of this forum or it's users) gets to claim Platypusship, then by jove I am a runt Sasquatch! How can I prove this tall tale? I'm furry and NOBODY gets in the way of my beef jerky! Hell, I've also been known to grunt and growl when the need arises. As a vertically challenged subspecies of Bigfoot, I henceforth demand to be placed on the endangered species list! Yes, I would like trained medical professionals to utilize tax dollars to watch over my well-being and health care, and maybe some of those same tax dollars can go to help pay for my habitat. So, do I need to start a petition? Or can I just send a video of my nude furry self playing with Chinese finger traps to the Huffington Post?

I was heading for the thread about craziness from the Japanese, but I discovered more info and a second link.

http://www.gamezone.com/news/onacon-usb-device-allows-for-special-gaming-stimulation

In case anyone wonders, I found this on Kotaku. This article does a better job of explaining just what the hell is going on, but the Kotaku article focuses on the fact that the Onacon USB can track your play time, play frequency, and average speed. But wait! It can also tweet this info to your twitter stream! Shocked One of the Kotaku commenters asked why would anyone want to share their stats, and the reply was to prove who is the best. taunt 4

Society= Bash Head

And in other news, the reason I couldn't target the Japanese... seems this has been a thing for a while, and it's even got a name: Teledildonics

Things. That. Should. Not. Be.....

PostSubject: Re: Things that should not be...   Things that should not be... EmptyThu Dec 04, 2014 10:57 pm

Okay, you know what? I'm going to partially retract my last post! Knowing what I know of Japan's culture, I can see a societal use for this new USB onahole, the Onacon. Teledildonics? It's a thing, and it's apparently been on the drawing board for a long time, so apparently there's a societal use for this as well. They say by 2050 people will be having sex with robots all the time? Based on some of these picture-dump sites sharing the latest tinder/facebook/twitter posts from this next generation, I can start to believe that some might seek mechanical pleasure in favor of risking stupidity becoming sexually transmitted.

From a more human (humane?) viewpoint... people with certain disabilities. I don't know all the medical ins and outs, but I'm thinking, hypothetically, a person paralyzed from the waist down, perhaps unable to perform, or unable to find a partner due to said disability, could make use of this device, or the next generation of these devices. There's already talk of rigging this Onacon with a Kinect, and I've heard more than once, imagine when they figure a way to use it with the Oculus. I remember an interview with Christopher Reeves and his wife, I think it was a Barbara Walters show... and the topic came up about sex, and the Reeves couple said that they try. I remember thinking "this sucks! This is Superman and he has to try to have sex with his wife!" What if an Onacon could have helped them? What if the next generation of these devices has a male and female version that can wifi or bluetooth together, and suddenly people that are incapable of having sex in any way are suddenly able to share the experience?

So... I change my view, and say that perhaps Teledildonics is a thing that should be. BUT, no way in hell should the use of these devices be splayed across facebook or twitter! THAT SHOULD NOT BE...EVER!!! A male version of this device should NEVER BE used as a game controller for any game beyond those nasty games designed for it! Think if it all got linked together?! "JohnSmith earned an achievement in Zombie-Hump-To-Death by killing 1,000 zombies. His average speed was 73 strokes per minutes, he played for 3 hours, and ejaculated 9 times!"

So, sexing up a machine is okay if there's no better solution. Sexing up a machine and advertising it to the world, in any form, is way definitely a THING THAT SHOULD NOT BE!!!

You know... that gaga camera system might actually be beneficial. Helps someone see if they've developed polyps or something, or see if somethings torn.
