Just found this at BoardGameGeek. If you've never been there and enjoy tabletop games of any type, I recommend checking it out. Anyway...space combat, tiny plastic battleships, randomization cards, what more could you ask for? I now link an "open box" pic from the boardgamegeek gallery, and a direct link to the game for more info! This could be on my Xmas list...
Awww hell...one more pic...a close-up of a ship miniature:
Hmmm...maybe one more showing other faction ships with counters...nice:
Another thing to note... pretty much any page on BGG, in the banner ads, you're going to see at least one ad for an upcoming game with the Kickstarter logo. It's like every "creative" person in the world has heard of kickstarter and now nobody is creating anything without cash first! I know that's not the case, it just seems like it. Wanna make a video game? Kickstart it! Board game? Kickstart it! What ever happened to doing the work and THEN trying to sell people on it?

This just in (said through a deep grumbly sigh)....
Dear Wizards of the Coast, I would just like to say, from the bottom of my heart, FUCK YOU! And Hasbro? Fuck you too for allowing this shit! You had to let Wizards have Heroscape so they could mix in some D&D and make you more money, and they killed an amazing board game! Now? Now... https://boardgamegeek.com/image/2585767/magic-gathering-arena-planeswalkers?size=large
Why don't they just call it Heroscape: Magic Edition? They could EASILY have just released new Heroscape stuff, geared toward Magic. Could have made new cards and minis, made some new boosters, and brought the old game back to life! But NOPE. Looking at the cards in this pic, it looks like they have all the same stats are Heroscape! Oh, somebody else made the same connection: https://boardgamegeek.com/image/2587519/magic-gathering-arena-planeswalkers
Sadly, a piece of me hopes this game flops HARD.
***EDIT: Just looked through more of the game specs. Here's the list of what's in the box. Sound familiar? Glyphs and everything!
