. . . Probably the first Egyptian actor known world-wide. Never saw any of his more serious stuff, but for a classic type actor doing things like Lawrence of Arabia, he wasn't afraid to act outside the box. My first memory of him: . .

I've got it on DVD and VHS... think it's on Netflix, too, though I can't be for certain. And yeah, once I heard of his passing, I went to find sound bites and clips from that movie. Not much, but still worth it.
